Its a polymer material. This is the most widely used 3D printing material owing to its ease of manufacturing. It comes in a variety of colours, It is best suited for prototypes, toys, general products and some functional parts. It can made from renewable resources such as sugarcane, cornstarch, potato, soy.
Specifications
Printing/nozzle temperature: 180°C – 230°C
Print bed temperature: 20°C – 60°C (but not needed)
Benefits
Some type of PLA has rubbery finish
Easy to print since it has low warping
Can be printed on a cold surface
Print with sharper corners & features compared to ABS material
Limitations
Less sturdy
Absorbs moisture
Slightly brittle
Poor heat resistance
